Robbie Williams - Life thru a Lens

Life thru a Lens es el disco de estudio debut en solitario, del cantautor inglés Robbie Williams . Este fue el primer álbum en solitario de Williams después de su salida de Take That . 

Su lanzamiento estuvo previsto, para el 29 de septiembre de 1997 a través de Chrysalis Records. Tiene la particularidad, de estar influenciado por Britpop , una desviación del tono más pop de la música que empleó Take That. 

Otro dato curioso, es que el nombre provisional del álbum era The Show-Off Must Go On . Los primeros tres sencillos del álbum, " Old Before I Die ", " Lazy Days " y " South of the Border " (el único sencillo que no entró en el top 10). 

De igual manera fueron todos éxitos moderados, pero fue el cuarto sencillo " Angels " el que catapultó a Williams a la fama internacional como solista. 

Posicionándolo en el número 4, ha vendido más de 1 millón de copias en el Reino Unido y es su sencillo más vendido hasta la fecha. 

Pero el quinto y último sencillo " Let Me Entertain You " alcanzó el número tres, convirtiéndose en el tercer éxito entre los 5 primeros del álbum. " Freedom ", el primer éxito en solitario de Robbie, una versión del éxito de 1990 de George Michael , no aparece en el álbum.
